Surtec 650

Surtec 650 Surtec 650 is a type of passivation that offers an excellent protection from corrosion, comparable to hexavalent passivation (Alodyne 1200). It has the following features: Treatments are performed in respect of the environment, in conformity to ROHS law.

Passivation

Passivation Passivation is an electrochemical process which confers to aluminium a thin protective layer against environmental factors, keeping intact its high electrical conductivity. Also it represents a necessary support to guarantee the cohesion to the metal of further finishing layers, such as varnish or colours. We realize two types of passivation:

Aluminium

Elettrocolouring

Elettrocolouring One of the most effective methods for staining aluminum is the method of electrocoloring. The artifact after being anodized is immersed in an acidic solution containing metal salts and subjected to an alternating current. In these conditions, metal deposits will be formed in the form of oxides in the porous structure of the oxidized film, producing the characteristic color of the used metal salt. The colors that can be obtained from this type of treatment are from stainless steel to black, depending on the time of exposure in the tank of the artifact.

Hard anodization

Hard anodization Hard anodization is a non-chromic electrolyte treatment that guarantees very high resistance against corrosion of acid and basic agents. Such treatment involves, through the passage of current according to certain parameters in the tubs, the formation of hard oxide. Its applications are many, starting from the automotive field as standard and for competitions, to the aerospace, packaging, pharmaceutical, textile, food, cycling and many other uses. Treatment featuresThe thickness of the treatment varies from 20 to 60 degrees depending on the starting alloy and needs and gives properties such as: Important increase in surface hardness (>500 HV” according to UNI 7796 Standard);Corrosion resistance (336 hours in sadial fog according to UNI ISO 6227 on alloy 6063);Increased resistance to wear and surface abrasion;Stability in light > 3000 h UV Electricity;Dielettricità;Moderate thermal insulation.

Natural and colored anodizing

Natural and colored anodizing Anodizing is a process of oxidation: aluminium undergoes an electrolytic bath which increases the thickness of the oxide layer on its surface. The goal of this process is both functional (increasing hardness and resistance from corrosion) and aesthetical. Seritarghe realizes both natural and coloured anodizing, available in the following colours: The micron layer during the treatment is electronically controlled.Treatments are performed in respect of the environment, in conformity to ROHS law.
